Perspectives Film Festival 2015

In 2015, Perspectives examined rites-of-passage and coming-of-age stories, focusing on characters that take a step into the unknown. The festival opened with Xavier Dolan’s Mommy (2014), and closed with Keisuke Kinoshita’s beloved The ballad of Narayama (1958). The Perspectives team also organised activities targeting young filmmakers, which included a screening of award-winning student shorts, and a talk about student programmes at the Cannes Film Festival.
